Roundtable begins 9:00 am - 10:30 am

Topic: Beyond Land Acknowledgements; Building Relationships with Native Communities

Our local nonprofit community has focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion over the past few years. As part of DEI, land acknowledgments have become more commonly used as a way to recognize Native people as the traditional and original stewards of the land in which we now live. How do we compose a meaningful land acknowledgment and how do we take additional, meaningful steps to build relationships with Native communities? Our guest speakers include Darren Parry, the former Chairman of the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation; Kassie John, proud member of the Navajo Nation; Cheryl Fox, ED of Summit Land Conservancy; and Jocelyn Scudder, ED of the Arts Council of Park City and Summit County.

Join us for this exciting Open Nonprofit Roundtable where anyone involved with a nonprofit organization may participate. RSVP is appreciated. You can RSVP HERE.

Coffee and light breakfast will be served beginning at 8:30.
